Welcome to the Building Vocabulary Games FAQ section. Here you'll find answers to all
your questions and solutions to any problems you may encounter.
How do I start the game?
Choose your level. Then, choose to either play Divide and Conquer or Combine and Create. Pick the unit and time. Click or tap Play!
How do I turn the music on and off?
Select the Settings button on the Unit/Time selection page to turn the music on and off.
How do I play the games?
Click the How to Play button on the Unit/Time starting page to learn how to play each game.
How do I use the wrench in Divide and Conquer?
Drag the wrench to divide the word and then click to check the answer.
How do I share the games with others?
Copy the website at the top of the browser or take a picture of the QR code found in the kit and share through email or text.
What happens when I get an answer wrong?
A red X will flash in the check answer box. Also, the games will allow you two attempts to get the correct answer. After the second unsuccessful attempt, the games move on to the next word or definition. The correct answers will later be provided in the Results screen.
How will I know what I got wrong?
The Results screen after each round will list the words that you missed.
What happens if I am correct?
A green checkmark will flash in the check answer box. The games keep track of the words combined or divided correctly on the top right hand corner. The number will increase as more words are answered correctly.
The Play button is not working. What can I do?
Click or tap the unit and the time on the selection starting page. The Play button will turn green. Click or tap Play!
How can I use Building Vocabulary Games in the classroom?
Building Vocabulary Games can be used during center time or any time that your students have time to build their vocabulary. The link to these games can easily be shared with parents and used to provide additional practice at home.
Are these games offered in different languages?
Building Vocabulary Games are only offered in English at this time.
Can my students access these games at home?
Yes, students can use the URL link from any computer, laptop, or tablet that has an internet browser and an internet connection.
What browsers can I use?
You can access the games from any browser. For Windows and Chromebooks, we recommend using the Chrome browser. For Macs and iPads, we recommend using the Safari browser.
Which devices can I access the games on?
You can access the games on any computer, laptop, or tablet with a web browser.
